"Being new to the area, I visited a number of much larger churches, trying to find one in which I felt comfortable enough to "settle down". Two of the churches regularly had 600-700 congregants attend Sunday morning services, while another sometimes had as many as 1,000. The services were hld in fancy surroundings, with a lot of stained glass and other decorative embellishments. But after all of this, I was thrilled to accept my friend's invitation to attend the Newark Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, as the people, the service and the feeling at the Lighthouse were so sincere, so moving and so nourishing to my soul. I feel so very welcome here after just a short time, and already you all have helped me find some of God's answers to my problems. Thank you and bless you."
